FLINT, MI – A Flint man has pleaded no contest to the murder of Amber Alexander that occurred on Sunday, January 26th, 2014.
Brian R. Turner, 27-years-old, had faced a first-degree murder charge in the slaying of Amber Alexander, 37-years-old, who was found dead around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, January 26th, 2014, in the driveway of her home on Brunswick Avenue near Remington. Turner also faced home invasion and maintaining a drug vehicle charges.
Alexander was found unresponsive and pronounced dead from a cut to the throat from a knife. She also had head trauma.
Once police located Turner, they found Alexander’s purse and blood in his vehicle, along with a knife and hammer. Brian Turner was then taken into custody where police said he told them he struggled with Amber Alexander after an argument over crack cocaine.
Brian Turner plead no contest on February 3rd, 2015, in Circuit Court to 2nd Degree Murder and Home Invasion 1st Degree for the homicide of Amber Alexander. He is scheduled to be sentenced on February 9th, 2015 by Judge Fullerton.
