DETROIT, MI – Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $5,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of the person or persons who shot and killed a Detroit gas station clerk in November of 2014.
It was Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, when about 7:15 a.m. a customer found Mohamed Zokari, 26-years-old, dead on the floor of the Clark Gas station located on 7 Mile Road at Schoenherr Road.
Detroit Police say they discovered shell casings from two weapons at the scene.
Zokari had a permit to carry a concealed firearm, but it appears whoever killed him also stole his gun.
Detroit Police say nothing was stolen from the store and they are trying to determine if this was the result of a botched robbery or if Zokari had been targeted for murder. “At this time, it does not look like as if it was a robbery or someone just randomly seeking crime,” said Detroit Police Deputy Chief Renee Hall. “There was nothing taken. It was strategically done.”
