SANILAC COUNTY, MI – The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two vehicle crash involving a motor vehicle and an Amish buggy that occurred on Cass City Road and M-53 on February 11th at 1:30 p.m.
According to Deputies, a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 31-year-old Ubly man struck an Amish buggy driven by a 42-year-old Cass City area man along with his 18-year-old passenger.
The Ubly man was attempting to pass the buggy and lost control on ice and rear ended the buggy. The buggy was extensively damaged however the occupants reported no injuries. The horse had minor cuts but they believed it would be fine.
The driver of the Blazer was not injured and alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
