MACOMB COUNTY, MI – The Macomb County Prosecutor on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015, charged Curtis Hampton with the stabbing deaths of his girlfriend and his infant daughter.
Curtis Hampton, 30-years-old, has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder. He was arraigned before 38th District Judge Carl Gerds in Eastpointe.
Monique Rakowski, 29-years-old, and her 13-month-old baby daughter, Carmon, were discovered dead about 9:30pm in a house in the 23700 block of Normandy Avenue on Thursday, February 12th, 2015.
Hampton turned himself into Dearborn police at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13th, 2015.
Rakowski and Hampton had a very rocky relationship. He was charged last summer with domestic violence. It also seems that part of the motivating factors in his killing spree was back due child support.
Curtis Hampton faces life in prison if he is convicted of the charges.
