Second Suspect Arrested for Mt. Clemens Fatal Stabbing

DETROIT, MI – The second suspect that had been sought after by police in the fatal stabbing of a pizza delivery driver in Mt. Clemens on Saturday, February 21st, 2015, has been arrested.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office had issued an arrest warrant for the arrest of Jayvon Tarice Cates, 18-years-old, from Mt. Clemens.

Cates was tracked down on the east side of Detroit in an apartment on Jefferson Avenue.  He is now in custody for the stabbing murder of Alexander Burkart, 22-years-old.

Deandre Lee Arnold, 18-years-old, was arrested early Sunday morning after homicide investigators recognized him from video surveillance near the murder scene.

Officers from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, the Detroit Police Department and the U.S. Marshal Service made the arrest.
