SANDUSKY, MI – The suspect in the armed robbery that occurred at the Sunrise Marathon Station in Worth Township on November 29th, 2014 has pled guilty.
On February 24th, Clint Radanovich, 27-years-old, of Lexington pled guilty in Sanilac County District Court to Armed Robbery for the November incident.
The investigation revealed that the robbery occurred at the Sunrise Marathon Station at approximately 6:25 p.m. when Radanovich was on his way back to the Metro Detroit area after stopping at his Lexington area residence.
Radanovich entered the store wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored blue jeans and black face mask and produced a black colored semi-auto pistol. Radanovich demanded money from the clerk, which she provided him from the register and he fled the store and area.
On December 2nd, 2014, Center Line Police arrested Radanovich after he pulled a similar type of Armed Robbery at a gas station in their area. He was wearing the same clothing at the time as he did in the Worth Township robbery.
Radanovich was transported to the Macomb County Jail regarding local charges, and remains in custody with a Sanilac County bond set at $25,000 cash/surety. He is set to appear in Sanilac Circuit Court on April 1, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. for sentencing.
“These types of crime are very dangerous and I am thankful for the hard work of all those involved in bringing this subject to justice”, stated Sheriff Biniecki.
Clint Radanovich has spent time in prison previously for convictions of Home Invasion and Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile. He was out on parole when he committed these armed robberies.
