DETROIT, MI – In a very bizarre case of two children being abducted from their home around 3am on Monday, March 2nd, 2015, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the young boy has been located but authorities are still searching for his missing sister.
A valid Amber Alert is still active as of 12:30am on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015, for 13-year-old Emma Blackwell. Police believe Emma may still be in extreme danger.
Emma is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing pink-and-white pajamas.
Her brother Aaron Blackwell, 16-years-old, was located in Detroit, some 400 miles away from his home. Police have taken him to safety.
This all began when the two teenagers were abducted at gun point in Indianapolis, Indiana. Police responding to a 911 call were told that the children were abducted at gunpoint by three men, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department news bulletin. They were described as driving a black Cadillac Escalade and a black Dodge Charger.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the children likely were abducted by an African-American male who goes by the name of “Jay”. He is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, 250 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
All of this started apparently when a woman robbed someone for money in Detroit. The kidnappings are believed to be in retaliation for that robbery.
A close relative of the teens had also been detained for questioning in Indianapolis after the individual escaped police custody and led officers on an hour-long foot pursuit on the city’s Southwestside.
