PORT HURON, MI – The Port Huron Police Department have in custody a 19-year-old man, Erick Trevon-Jaqueese White, on multiple counts stemming from 3 incidents that occurred on Sunday, March 1st, 2015.
Police were first called to a home invasion/robbery that occurred on Sunday around 5:30pm in the 2600 block of Manuel.
The suspect knocked on the home owner’s door and then produced a handgun when the door was opened. The suspect took the home owner into the back room of the house while removing cash and then he fled on foot. A K-9 was used to track the suspect but was unsuccessful in locating him.
About an hour later officers were dispatched to the area of 15th and Wells on a report of a subject matching the suspect’s description who had pulled a handgun on a cab driver at that location. The suspect again fled on foot.
While officers were out investigating the cab driver robbery, another call was received from a citizen who had seen a subject matching the suspect’s description enter the Black River Party Store, 1236 Water Street, with a handgun. The suspect robbed the store and fled on foot. Officers responded to the area and located the suspect, finally taking him into custody.
No one was injured in any of the incidents.
The suspect Erick Trevon-Jaqueese White, was arraigned on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015, on 3 counts of armed robbery, 1 count of unlawful imprisonment, and 1 count of home invasion 1st degree. Bond was set at $500,000. White will be back in court on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 at 9am for a Probable Cause Hearing.
