Flint Man Dies in Roscommon County Snowmobile Accident

DENTON TOWNSHIP, MI – On Sunday, March 8th, 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Roscommon County Deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Iroquois Avenue in Denton Township for an accident that occurred on the frozen waters of Houghton Lake involving a single snowmobile. police

The crash was approximately 200 yards off shore. When deputies arrived on scene, CPR was in progress by the caller and other witnesses. EMS arrived with Deputies at which time EMS took over CPR while Deputies began the investigation.

The crash involved one snowmobile and resulted in the death of Charles Pardo, a 31-year-old Flint man. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies believe speed and alcohol were a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

The Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Denton EMS, Denton Fire Department, and Roscommon County Central Dispatch. Flint City Police Department also assisted with locating next of kin.
