Redford Police Department investigating Carjacking

REDFORD, MI – The Redford Police Department is investigating a carjacking that occurred this morning at a vehicle repair shop. carjacking

Redford Police officers are searching for an unarmed carjacking suspect, last seen on foot near Claude Allison Park, which is on Beech Daly between 6 and 7 mile.

The victim left her young children inside of her running vehicle while she stood in the doorway of the shop, maintaining visual contact of her vehicle. The victim observed the suspect drive away with her vehicle, with the children still inside. The victim and an employee from the shop followed the suspect in another vehicle for a few blocks when the suspect parked the victim’s vehicle and walked away. The children were unharmed. The suspect is not known to the victim.

The suspect is described as a white male 5’2-5’3” medium build, with a scruffy beard and mustache in his mid 20’s wearing a light blue sweatshirt with a dark blue stripe on the sleeves and a black hat.
