PECK, MI – On July 13th, 2015, at approximately 4:32 a.m. Sanilac Central Dispatch received an alarm from Bowers Party Store at 123 E. Lapeer Street in the Village of Peck.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed the front door glass had been broken out. Deputies were able to determine that two individuals had entered the store and removed an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes, and alcohol by reviewing the surveillance cameras.
Some of these photos were posted on the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Peck’s Facebooks. Within one hour an overwhelming amount of tips regarding the possible identity of the individuals were being received. These tips lead Deputies to the 8500 block of Peck Road in Lapeer County. At that location searches were conducted on two different residences, resulting in evidence being obtained and linking two subjects to the breaking and entering.
As a result, two 20-year-old males, one from Brown City and one from Marlette were arrested and taken to the Sanilac County Jail, where they are held without bond.
