PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – On July 22nd, 2015, deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriffs Department Stopped a suspicious subject in Pennfield Township.
While speaking with the subject it was found that the individual was currently making arrangements to acquire a controlled substance. After further investigation, deputies found the source of the controlled substances.
At approximately 2:00pm on July 22nd, 2015, deputies executed a search warrant on a residence in the 6000 block of Morgan Rd in Pennfield township.
Deputies did locate a number of different controlled substance as well as illegal prescription medications. Deputies also located items used in the packaging and distribution of the illegal drugs.
Six Battle Creek residents, ranging in age from 17 to 65 years of age, were arrested on scene and are facing charges ranging from possession with intent to deliver cocaine and heroin to association with a controlled substance and maintaining a drug house. All names of those involved are being withheld pending arraignment.
