Kalamazoo Police Respond to Multiple Gunshots Fired Early Sunday Morning

KALAMAZOO, MI – On Sunday, August 16th, 2015, at approximately 2:44 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to the 800 block of Staples Ave on a report of a large fight with multiple gunshots fired. Police Investigation

Upon arrival, officers located a 36 year-old male with a gunshot wound to his arm. As officers were rendering aid on scene, a second gunshot victim, a 24 year-old male, arrived at Bronson Hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Shortly thereafter, a third gunshot victim, a 23 year-old male, arrived at Bronson Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.

The injuries to all three victims are considered to be non-life threatening and they are in stable condition. Officers recovered a stolen 9mm handgun on scene. Kalamazoo Public Safety officers continue to investigate.
