The early morning fire started around 5a.m. on Sunday, August 30th, 2015 at 14502 Hubbard Lake Rd, Hubbard Lake, Michigan.  It is unclear at this time what started the fire.  It is believed that the fire started in the kitchen and spread to other areas of the building.  State fire investigators will look into the cause of the blaze.

Some have called the establishment a Hubbard Lake icon.  The establishment was built and opened some time in the 1940’s.

Today the property is roped off so no one can get near the burned out structure.  Though the building is not completely destroyed from the fire, it will take some time to rebuild if that is what the owners, Al and Marion Werth, decide to do.  The establishment did sustain heavy damage.
