Alpena Man Dead Following Car Crash

ALPENA, MI – An Alpena man died following a car crash around 1:30am Saturday morning, September 19th, 2015.Fatal Crash

Brian Glazier, 40-years-old, from Alpena, was on Piper Road eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.  His vehicle went off the road where it struck a tree.  The car then burst into flames that quickly engulfed the vehicle.

Glazier was trapped in the vehicle.  Authorities, once on scene, were unable to rescue him alive.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alpena County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by Sanborn Township Fire Department and Alpena County Ambulance.

Brian Scott Glazier, 40, of Alpena died unexpectedly on September 19, 2015, due to the results of an auto accident.

Brian is survived by his mother, Judy Gleason; his sister, Heather Gleason; grandmothers, Irma Segorski and Phyllis Glazier, all of Alpena; girlfriend, Heather Abend-Heyliger; her children, Makenzie and Alexis of Ossineke.

Mr. Glazier is at the Bannan Funeral Home where memorial visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12 noon with Rev. Randy Conley officiating.

Inurnment:  Long Rapids Cemetery
