DETROIT, MI – At around 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 11th, 2015 an accident occurred on eastbound I-94 West near Livernois in Detroit that killed a construction worker and a motorist.
Michigan State Police state that Marvin Harris of Detroit was driving eastbound in a closed construction lane when he crashed his 1999 red Chevrolet into two construction workers and their parked vehicle. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Also killed was construction worker, Rafael Castillo-Saavedra of Detroit. He also died at the scene.
A second construction worker, who has not been identified by police, was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Metro Post at 248- 584-5740.
