WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI – Both directions of M-14 were shutdown at Gotfredson Road, exit 15, due to a fatal crash in Washtenaw County on October 27, 2015. The victim in that accident has been identified.
Alexander Eli Bruni, a resident of West Bloomfield, Michigan, died on October 27th, 2015 at the age of 22-years-old from injuries he sustained in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old passenger, from East Lansing, who was in the vehicle with Bruni, is in serious condition at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor.
The two men were in the 2016 Honda Civic and a 43-year-old Beverly Hills woman and her daughter were in a 2014 Acura RDX.
The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s spokesperson Derrick Jackson said it started when Bruni lost control of his vehicle and veered head-on into oncoming westbound traffic. Alexander Bruni’s vehicle was cut in half and scattered across the roadway after striking the Acura RDX. A witness told Fox 2 News Detroit that Bruni’s vehicle was traveling close to 100 miles an hour when it crossed the median and drove into oncoming traffic.
