ARGENTINE TOWNSHIP, MI – Three teens are under arrest after authorities learned of an alleged plot that was to be carried out at Linden High School and Linden Middle School.
On Wednesday, October 28th, 2015, the school shooting plot was uncovered by Argentine Township Police. Argentine Township Police, Michigan State Police and the FBI have all been involved in the investigation.
On Thursday, October 29th, 2015, after reviewing the information, Argentine Township Police Chief Daniel Allen forwarded the information to the FBI.
The suspects were identified by authorities and information was found including details of a recent firearms purchase. The FBI became aware that the planned shooting was aimed at certain targets at the schools. The information collected indicated the shootings would take place on Friday, October 30th, 2015.
The teens charged are:
- Ryan William Stevens, 18-years-old, of Linden. Stevens is a former student at Linden Community Schools.
- Lamar Michael Dukes, 15-years-old, of West Bloomfield.
- Cody Anthony Brewer, 15-years-old, of Wolverine Lake.
All three have been charged as adults with conspiracy to commit first-degree premeditated murder and false report or threat of terrorism. Each are charged with felonies and could face up to life in prison if convicted.
Ryan Stevens is being held in the Genesee County Jail. Lamar Dukes and Cody Brewer are being held at the Genesee Regional Detention Center in Flint.
Linden Community Schools said the district worked with police to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
