PORT HURON, MI – Two Detroit residents are lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center following an investigation by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF conducted a lengthy investigation into the sales of heroin in the Port Huron area. The investigation led to the issuance and execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 2900 block of Golden Crest Court in the city of Port Huron at about 9:30 Wednesday night. During the search, members of the Drug Task Force located and seized approximately $5000 worth of heroin, along with drug paraphernalia, digital scales and cash.
The 20 year old man and 23 year old woman were arrested and face charges including possession with intent to deliver heroin, maintaining a drug house and being a habitual 2nd offender.
Members of the Port Huron Police Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Port Huron Police Road Patrol assisted in the execution of the search warrant.
