It was reported that a 40-year-old husband and his 28-year-old wife were in the parking lot conducting an exchange of children’s clothing when the female allegedly stabbed the male with some type of instrument. The Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to provide medical attention.
Deputies spoke with the complainant who had puncture and scratch wounds to his forearm. The male was treated and medically cleared by paramedics from the Rochester Hills Fire Department.
Information gathered at the scene contradicted the initial reports that the male had been stabbed by the female. A Detective responded to the assist with the investigation. All parties were brought back to the Rochester Hills Substation for further investigation.
The investigation revealed that the male had actually stabbed himself and attempted to go after the female in a threatening manner with the stabbing tool in his hand. Detectives ascertained that the male lied when he reported being stabbed by the female. The suspect was lodged OCJ pending charges.
