Huron County Man back in Jail after Being Released Three Days Ago

WINSOR TOWNSHIP, MI – On Thursday, December 17th, 2015,  around 5:30 p.m., Huron County Deputies were working on an illegal drug distribution investigation involving the sale of prescription pills and marijuana at a residence on Railroad St. in Winsor Twp. (Linkville), which resulted in search warrants, arrests and property seizures. drug arrest

Arrested eventually at the scene on felony distribution charges were residents Jack W. Mills, 43-years-old and Jason M. Franklin, 31-years-old, who had just been released from jail only three days earlier after serving a 70+ day sentence on a disorderly person conviction.

Two other occupants were questioned and released at the scene.

Both arrestees were transported to jail were they spent the night and were arraigned this afternoon in the 73B District Court on formal felony charges that had been authorized by the Prosecutor’s Office.

Mills was then released on a PR bond and Mr. Franklin remains in  jail on a $100,000 cash bond.

Seized during this incident was a 94 Chevrolet pickup, cash and drug paraphilia. This investigation will continue and further charges are possible.
