Homeless Man Found Dead on Pontiac Library Steps

PONTIAC, MI – Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 60 block of E. Pike, The Pontiac Library, on a welfare check of a 56-year-old, homeless, Pontiac man.  Police Investigation

Deputies discovered an unresponsive victim lying on the  front steps of the library around 11:30 Wednesday morning.  The subject was not breathing.  Star EMS responded and  the subject was pronounced dead at the scene via a Physician from McLaren Oakland Hospital.

Detectives responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.

A Specialist from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Forensics Lab responded to process the scene.

The  Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the deceased for an autopsy.  The investigation continues.
