SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, MI – A young Baldwin woman was killed in a car accident on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015. The crash happened just after 7 p.m.
The woman, only identified as a Baldwin woman in her 20s, was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Sternberg Road at Maple Island Road, according to Muskegon County Sheriff Dean Roesler.
The driver of that vehicle did not stop at a stop sign at the Sullivan Township junction, which resulted in a collision with a northbound vehicle. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was not injured, but a male passenger was transported to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The names of those involved in the accident have not been released at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
