DETROIT, MI – The southbound Southfield Freeway (M-10) was closed at Warren due to a vehicle accident involving at least two cars. It was reported earlier that five cars had been involved.
The accident happened at about 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 4th, 2016.
A preliminary investigation found that two vehicles were involved. One vehicle drove off the southbound service drive and landed on a vehicle heading southbound on M-39. It is being reported at this time that a man was ejected from his vehicle. He is considered to be the at fault driver.
MSP is stating that alcohol and seat belts factored into the crash.
The freeway reopened at about 7:00 p.m. The accident was not weather related
