PONTIAC, MI – Oakland County Deputies responded to the 200 block of South Martin Luther King for three subjects that had been stabbed on February 11th, 2016 at approximately 12:00 p.m.
Deputies located the responsible male walking away from the residence. He is identified as Anthony Dewayne Grandberry, 49-years-old, of Pontiac. He had a severe laceration to his buttocks and was transported by STAR EMS to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
Deputies located three victims, a 46 year old female, 23 year old female and a 49 year old female, at the residence who had been stabbed. All three victims are from Pontiac. They were transported by STAR to McLaren Hospital for treatment.
Detectives responded to continue the investigation. An Evidence Tech responded to process the scene. The investigation revealed that the victims had invited Grandberry into the house. When he began to argue with the residents, he was asked to leave but refused to. As he was forced out of the home he produced a knife and stabbed the three females. One of the female victims was able to retrieve a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Anthony Grandberry in an effort to defend her and the others.
Grandberry was arrested for stabbing all three victims. He remains in custody at the hospital. None of the injuries to the victims or suspect was life threatening.
Anthony Grandberry was admitted to a local hospital for treatment and was released later the same day and lodged OCJ.
Detectives obtained a 3 count warrant: Ct. 1: Assault with Intent to Murder. Ct 2 Assault with Dangerous Weapon. Ct. 3 Assault with Dangerous Weapon.
Arraignment took place on February 12th, 2016 at the hospital: Judge Martinez arraigned Grandberry and set a $50,000.00 cash bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.
Anthony Grandberry has a 1991 conviction for Felony Assault (Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder)
