Three Suspects in Custody in connection with Detroit Firefighter’s Homicide

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit police department has taken into custody three suspects wanted in connection with the homicide of the late Detroit Fireman, David Madrigal.

On, Monday, December 21st, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 7600 block of Vaughn for a suspicious death, where Officers observed visible signs of trauma to the body of Mr. Madrigal.

David Madrigal, 59-years-old, was found dead inside his home on Vaughan Street, near Tireman and Evergreen on the city’s west side.  His the official cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Madrigal’s house was ransacked. Several items were missing from inside the home and his 2015 Harley Davidson-model Ford Explorer was also stolen.

Madrigal was assigned to Engine 33 and had planned to retire in June.

Through the relentless investigation and follow through of the Detroit Police department homicide investigation team and Headquarter Surveillance, three suspects have been arrested in this case.

The suspects have been identified and charged as follows:

Defendant 1- Timmy Soto, 32-years-old, of Detroit – Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, 3rd Degree Arson, Larceny from Building, Weapon – Firearm Possession by Felon, Felony Firearm and Unlawful Driving away Motor Vehicle

Defendant 2- Nicole O’Neill, 33-years-old, of Detroit, – Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, Larceny from Building, 3rd Degree Arson

Defendant 3- Christian Rasnick, 19-years-old, of Trenton – Felony Murder, Armed Robbery, 3rd Degree Arson, Larceny from Building and Unlawful Driving away Motor Vehicle
