On Friday, March 25th, 2016, at approximately 5:35 a.m., a mother along with her young children were at home when two subjects forced entry into her home by kicking in the front door. One of the subjects was armed with a handgun and began to ask to speak with another resident of the home who was not there at the time. Once the subjects found out that the person they were looking for was not home, they fled the scene. The female victim was able to identify both subjects as she had known them from prior encounters.
Members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau followed up on several leads throughout the day and learned that the subjects involved were at a Kingsbrooke Dr address in Frenchtown Twp.
On Friday, March 25th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives executed a Search
Warrant at an address on Kingsbrooke Dr where a 20-year-old white male subject and a 27-year-old white male subject were taken into custody and subsequently lodged at the Monroe County Jail. While executing the search warrant several stolen firearms and narcotics were recovered and seized.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, MANTIS and The City of Monroe Vice Squad also assisted with the investigation and execution of the search warrant.
The identities of the two suspects involved are being withheld pending arraignment in the First District Court.
