CASS COUNTY, MI – Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Thursday, April 28th, 2016, at 7:45 p.m., Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s Department were called to the intersection of US-12 and Sunset Blvd for a single vehicle roll over personal injury accident.
Thomas Eugene Defreese, 30-years-old, of White Pigeon, was operating his vehicle west bound on US-12, east of Sunset Blvd. when he drove off the roadway on the right, hitting the guardrail and rolling his vehicle.
Thomas Defreese was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for minor injuries by Porter Township EMS.
Seatbelts were worn during this crash and alcohol and substance abuse is unknown at this time.
This crash remains under investigation. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Porter Township Fire and Porter Township EMS.
