ANN ARBOR, MI – On Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Ann Arbor Police Department and the Division of Pain Research (UM, Department of Anesthesiology) are hosting a medication take back event in the Pioneer High School Parking Lot.
If you missed last weekend’s National Drug Take-Back Day Event at the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, there is still another chance to clean out your medicine cabinets. On Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Ann Arbor Police Department along with the Division of Pain Research (UM, Department of Anesthesiology) will host their 3rd medication take-back event.
Take back events provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the community about potential teen abuse of medications found in the home and the safety of children. Can you help them again collect more than 42,000 old pills? Please join us, and tell your friends and family about how important it is to safely get rid of old pain relievers.
