PARMA TOWNSHIP, MI – The driver of a semi rolled his truck Wednesday morning when he lost control of the vehicle while he was trying to swat a bees inside the cab of the truck.
Sheriff Steve Rand reports on Wednesday, May 25th,2016, 9:45 a.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to I-94 Eastbound near North Concord Road in Parma Township for a single vehicle rollover injury crash involving a tractor-trailer.
Deputies located a blue Freightliner tractor-trailer that had rolled over on the south side of eastbound I-94. Through an interview with the driver, Deputies learned the driver was swatting at bees in the cab of the vehicle, lost control and overturned. Deputies also found the driver did not have a valid license out of Illinois.
The driver of the truck, a 27-year-old Forest Park, IL man, sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The driver was cited for violations related to the crash and his license status.
