Two Suspects Arrested in Kalamazoo on Firearm and Drug Charges

KALAMAZOO, MI – On Saturday, June 11th, 2016, around 9:00 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety officer Tim Millard conducted a traffic stop in the 500blk of W North St for a moving violation. Kalamazoo Police Cruiser

The driver and front seat passenger quickly exited the vehicle and were detained. A K-9 alerted on the vehicle and Ruger .22 revolver was located under the driver’s seat. During a search of the front seat passenger a delivery amount of crack cocaine and several hundred dollars were seized.

The driver is a Kalamazoo resident in his thirties. The driver was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, attempted resisting and obstructing and driving on a suspended license. He was out on circuit court bond for a previous gun case. The front seat passenger is also a Kalamazoo resident in his thirties. He was arrested for possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and attempted resisting and obstructing.
