Detroit Police trying to Identify Armed Robbery Suspect (Video)

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown black male suspect. Family Dollar

The suspect is wanted in connection with an armed robbery of the Family Dollar store that occurred in the 22000 Block of Grand River.

On Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the unknown male suspect entered the location and approached the counter as if he was going to make a purchase. The suspect then hastily walked around the counter and approached the cashier who was preparing to put currency into the store safe and stated “Give me the money” while reaching his hand behind his back as though he was armed.

The suspect then forced the victim over to the cash register and proceeded to remove an additional undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, then walked out of the location on foot in an unknown direction.

Wanted:

Suspect: Black, male, 5’8’, 245lbs, bald, goatee, light complexion, wearing a black/white shirt and blue pants, armed with an unknown type handgun.
