MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, MI – Dive crews were searching the Muskegon River in Mecosta County for a man who went missing after his boat capsized on June 26th, 2016.

Emergency crews from Mecosta and Newaygo counties had been searching the river in an area off of M-20, west of the village of Stanwood, near the River Ridge Resort since 9 a.m. Sunday morning

They have recovered the body of a 47-year-old man who was with his 21-year-old daughter when their boat struck some debris and capsized.

The daughter did survive the incident.
