Motorcyclist Killed in Flint after Tow Truck Hits Him

FLINT, MI – A Mt. Morris man was struck and killed on his motorcycle in Flint by a tow truck on Thursday, July 14th, 2016.Fatal Motorcycle

Police responded to the intersection of Atherton and Grand Traverse around 4 p.m. where they found the man had been riding his Harley west on Atherton Road when he was struck by the commercial flatbed tow truck making an illegal left turn onto north Grand Traverse. The biker hit the front passenger side wheel well and was run over by the rear tires, police said.

A 25-year-old man was transported to Hurley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
