Oakland County Woman Burns Husbands Belongings

PONTIAC, MI – A 42-year-old Pontiac woman took revenge on her husband when she lit his personal property on fire on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m.Fire Investigation

Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to the 500 block of N. Saginaw Street for a reported burning complaint.

Upon arrival, it was determined to be a family trouble where the homeowner was burning her husband’s belongings.  While Deputies were on scene, the female subject began pouring fuel onto the fire which caused it to spread to the residence.

Firefighters from the Waterford Regional Fire Department extinguished the fire and the female subject was taken into custody by Deputies.  Detectives from the OCSO Fire Investigation Unit responded to the scene.  The female subject was lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges. Detectives from the OCSO Fire Investigation Unit are continuing with the investigation.

The woman could be charged with Arson.
