Detroit Police need help locating Carjacker

The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown black male suspect. The suspect is wanted in connection with a carjacking that occurred in the 24500 block of Grand River.

On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at 4:40 a.m., the male suspect approached a 24-year-old female victim who was parking her silver, 2001, Chevy Impala, in the lot of the location.  The suspect, who was armed with a gun, approached the victim and demanded her vehicle. After the victim complied, the suspect fled the location in an unknown direction inside the victim’s vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Black male, 5’4” with a course afro, last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
