Three Detroit Teens Arrested for Home Invasion in Dearborn

DEARBORN, MI – On Friday July 29th, 2016, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Dearborn Police Officers responded to the 13000 block of S. Morrow Circle on a report of a Home Invasion in progress.

On scene officers observed forced entry into the home and spoke to witnesses who provided descriptions of the suspects. The suspect’s descriptions were broadcast to responding officers who quickly located the suspects; who were taken into custody without incident.

Three Detroit residents, Marco Abram, 18-years-old, Steven Howard, 18-years-old, and Alexis Esselman, 17-years-old, were arrested and charged with Home Invasion First Degree.

They were arraigned in the 19th District Court by the Honorable Judge William Hultgren and a $5000 personal bond was set with the condition that a GPS tether must be worn upon release. A Probable Cause Conference has been set for August 12, 2016 at 9:00am in the 19th District Court and a Preliminary Exam date of August 19, 2016 at 9:00am has also been set.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Crimes of this nature will not be tolerated in Dearborn. These brazen acts destroy citizen’s quality of life and we will continue our proactive approach to apprehending criminals for crimes in progress.”
