WATSON TOWNSHIP, MI – Deputies and Detectives with the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a boyfriend and girlfriend who were involved in 3 break-ins and 2 stolen automobiles on Thursday, August 5th, 2016.  Allegan County Sheriff

The couple’s crime spree began around 8 am yesterday when deputies responded to a report of break-in when the suspect’s sister arrived home to her residence in Watson Twp.  The victim returned home and observed that her sister and sister’s boyfriend had been inside her home.  The suspects fled the scene upon being discovered.  Deputies began looking for the couple and the suspect’s vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to a second residence in Watson Twp. after a victim returned home around 3:30 pm and found that the home had been broken into.  Food and a firearm (handgun) had been stolen along with the victim’s Chevrolet Impala.

Deputies were dispatched to a third residence around 5:30 pm when a victim returned home and found that a firearm (revolver), small amount of money, and a Dodge Ram pickup had been stolen.  The stolen Chevrolet Impala from the earlier break-in was left at the scene.

Deputies and Detectives discovered the stolen Dodge pick up at about 9:30 pm at the male suspect home.  The suspects were both found to be at the residence and were arrested without incident.  It was later determined that they had crashed their car in Watson Twp. prior to stealing the Chevrolet Impala.

The suspects are currently lodged in the Allegan County Corrections Center.  Detectives hope to meet with the Prosecutor’s Office and obtain warrants this afternoon.  Subjects are scheduled for a Monday arraignment.

Suspects are a 34 year old Otsego man and a 21 year old Otsego woman.
