WARREN, MI – An active meth lab was found in a home in Warren after a barricaded gunman situation was brought to an end on Wednesday morning, August 10th, 2016.Meth Lab

Tuesday when Warren police were called to a home on Georgiana Street, near 8 Mile Road and Groesbeck Highway, at approximately 10:00 p.m., on a report of an assault involving a gun.

Officers found that the suspect had barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out.

Michigan State Police along with other reinforcements were called to the scene.  Negotiators were finally able to talk the suspect out of the home. The man was taken into custody without further incident early Wednesday morning. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Once the suspect was taken into custody, authorities discovered an active meth lab in an upstairs bedroom of the home.

Neighbors in the area were shaken over the entire incident.
