PORT HURON, MI – The St. Clair County Drug Task Force continues to stay on the offensive with a seizure of heroin and crack cocaine on Thursday, September 1st, 2016.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF conducted an investigation into the sales of heroin and crack in the Port Huron area. The investigation led to a traffic stop of suspects in a vehicle at 24th Street and Oak Street in Port Huron at about noon yesterday. During the search following the stop, $8000 worth of heroin, $2500 worth of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana was seized, along with cash, cell phones and a vehicle.
A 39 year old man and 25 year old woman, both from Detroit, were arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. They are expected to face charges including possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and being a habitual offender.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
