COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, MI – Authorities discovered the body of a woman on Thursday morning, at approximately 9:30 a.m. The woman had been missing for more than a week from Farmington Hills.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded on September 15th, 2016, to the PetSmart located at 385 Haggerty Rd on the report of a suspicious circumstance.
Deputies were informed by the store manager that he had found a set a car keys and personal belongings that he could not account for inside the store. Deputies were able to ascertain that the personal belongings belonged to the missing female from the City of Farmington Hills. Sheriff’s Detectives and the City of Farmington Hills Police Department were advised and responded to the scene.
Detectives gained access to the roof of PetSmart where they recovered some personal items that belonged to the missing subject. Detectives continued to check the roof top of the adjoining business located at 355 Haggerty Rd (The Home Depot). Detectives located a female who was obviously deceased lying near a large commercial HVAC unit. The deceased is the missing person from the City of Farmington Hills, 23-year-old Elizabeth Hock. The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation but no foul play is suspected at this time.
