WALLED LAKE, MI – On Sunday, October 16th, 2016, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Commerce Township Fire Department responded to the parking lot of 2550 E. Oakley Park Rd. The complainant called 9-1-1 and advised that he was with a 20 year old woman, from the City of Farmington Hills, who was unresponsive.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed the female victim not breathing and obviously deceased. Paramedics from Community EMS provided telemetry to Huron Valley Hospital where a physician pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The caller was interviewed by Deputies and stated to them that the victim had overdosed. He was attempting to take the victim to the hospital, but he got lost and called 9-1-1 from the parking lot. He later indicated that the victim showed up at his house, fell down and may have overdosed.
Detectives and an investigator from the Oakland County Medical examiner’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. The investigation has led Detectives to believe that the victim had likely died at the complainant’s residence located in the City of Walled Lake. The Walled Lake Police Department was contacted and the investigation was turned over to their Detectives for further investigation.
