GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Deputy was traveling eastbound on Hammond Road in patrol a vehicle.
At the intersection of Hughes Drive, a Jeep Grand Cherokee entered onto Hammond Road into the path of the Deputy who had the right of way.
The 25-year-old Traverse City man, who was driving the Jeep, collided with the front passenger side of the patrol vehicle. The Deputy’s wrist was broken in the crash and the other driver was uninjured. The crash was investigated by the Michigan State Police.
