Oakland County Sheriff searching for Fatal Hit & Run Driver

PONTIAC, MI – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle/pedestrian hit and run crash that occurred upon northbound Telegraph Rd. near Menoninee Street at 7:10 p.m. on Friday, October 21st, 2016

A 53 year old homeless resident of Pontiac, Timothy Guy Pressnell, was killed when he was struck in the left lane by an unknown vehicle as he attempting to cross Telegraph Rd. A witness described the vehicle as an older model Red SUV.

Timothy Pressnell was not crossing in a crosswalk.

Pressnell was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:25 p.m.

The suspect vehicle is possibly a Red 1998 – 2001 GMC Jimmy or Oldsmobile Bravada with left front headlight damage. Sample photos are shown below.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance with information on the crash, including identifying the responsible vehicle and driver.

The crash remains under investigation.

Family members and the next of kin of Timothy Pressnell have been notified.
