Footage Released of Family Dollar Armed Robbery in Detroit

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on the city’s west side.

On Sunday, October 16th, 2016 at 8:30 a.m., in the 12200 block of Grand River, two armed suspects robbed the Family Dollar store. The suspect approached the counter with items to purchase and instead pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the female clerk (victim), while demanding money. The other suspect stood by as a look out. The victim was unable to open the cash register and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The suspects are described as a black males, 25 years old, 5’8”, slim build, 120lbs., wearing black tee shirts.
