Detroit Police Seek Information in Murder of Wayne State University Police Officer (Video)

Detroit, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a possible witness to a homicide that occurred in the city of Detroit.wsupd-witness-2

On November 22, 2016 at approximately 6:35 p.m., in the area of Lincoln and Brainard, Wayne State University Police Officer Collin Rose made contact with a suspect. The suspect fatally shot Officer Rose and was later apprehended by police.

The person seen in the video, may have witnessed the incident.

The alleged gunman was identified by authorities as Deangelo Davis.

Davis was charged with first-degree murder, felony firearm, murder of a police officer, and felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
