DETROIT, MI – David Westly Didlake, 27-years-old, of River Rouge, has been charged with Animals – Killing/Torturing, Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, Animals – Abandoning/Cruelty Resulting in Death of One Animal.River Rouge Man Charged in Dog Burning Case 1

On October 29, 2016 at approximately 8:57 p.m., police were called to a location in the 80th block of East James Street and investigated a dead white dog that was observed to be burned near the bottle of an accelerant. As a result of the investigation, Didlake was arrested after it is alleged that he resisted the police at a home located in the 80th block of East James Street in River Rouge.

Today Didlake was arraigned in 25th District Court in Lincoln Park and received a $75,000 cash/surety bond. He will have his probable cause conference on December 13, 2016 and his preliminary examination on December 20, 2016.
