DETROIT, MI – The City of Detroit DPW has instructed the CIty’s six residential street plowing contractors to begin plowing once the current snow storm substantially ends.
The snow is forecast to continue falling until approximately 4AM, Monday. DPW Director Ron Brundidge expects contractors to be mobilized and begin plowing by 6AM. Under the contract with the city, private crews have 16 hours to complete their work once they begin plowing.
Crews will clear a least a 10-foot path to allow vehicles to pass. To avoid being plowed in and to make work easier for snow removal crews, residents are urged to not park their cars on side streets if possible.
