Argument Leads to East side McDonald’s Restaurant being Damaged [Video]

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two unknown male suspects wanted in connection with the malicious destruction of property of a McDonald’s Restaurant on the city’s east side.

On Sunday, December 25, 2016 at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the 10400 block of Gratiot, two unknown male suspects driving in a red 4 door Kia pulled into the drive thru window to place an order. During the transaction, the suspects began arguing with the employees and accused them of short changing them. After accommodating the suspects, the suspects left the location but returned a short time later.

Upon their return both suspects exit their vehicle. Suspect 1 (driver) was armed with a knife. Suspect 2 (passenger) retrieved a yellow steering wheel lock club from his vehicle then used it to shatter the drive thru pick-up window and a large outside window. Suspect 2 then entered the restaurant and shattered the glass entrance door. After damaging the windows and door both suspects returned to their vehicle and fled the location in an unknown direction. During the incident, the employees locked themselves in a stock room until the suspects fled. No injuries were reported.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1 (Driver) Black male, 20s, 6, 140lbs., light complexion, slim build, driving a Red 4 Door Kia, armed with a knife.

Suspect 2 (Passenger) Black male, 20s, 6’2”, 190 lbs., light complexion, medium build, wearing a blue bandana on his head, armed with a yellow club.
