Detroit Woman Sexually Assaulted after being Kidnapped

DETROIT, MI – Detroit Police are on the hunt for a suspect who kidnapped a 24-year-old woman from a local pharmacy then raped her on Sunday, January 8th, 2017.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. the woman was at the CVS Pharmacy on Woodward near Webb when she saw the man standing by a car waving her down.  The woman stopped to help the man who she thought needed a jump-start for his car.

The suspect then forced his way into the victim’s vehicle, pulled out a handgun gun and made her drive to an abandoned house on 3rd Avenue near Collingwood Street, not far from where he had just kidnapped her from.  He then raped her and then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
